Today’s mothers are navigating a world filled with information, pressure, and constant change. But at the heart of it, motherhood is still a journey of growth and love.
Lyssa’s story reflects the modern experience of motherhood—one marked by both anxiety and incredible strength. Over the past few years, she has been an active participant in Claris Health’s parenting program, faithfully showing up, often with her children alongside her, and fully embracing the sense of community it provides. What began as a season of uncertainty has grown into a story of confidence, connection, and encouragement for others walking a similar path.

And yet, in the midst of those fears and adjustments, something unexpected began to emerge: strength.
“Realizing how strong I am mentally and physically,” Lyssa says, was one of the most surprising parts of becoming a mom. What once felt overwhelming slowly became manageable. What once felt uncertain began to take shape. Through each challenge, she discovered a resilience she didn’t know she had.
Alongside that strength came something even more profound—a love that transformed her perspective entirely. She describes it as an “unexplainable” feeling, an overwhelming and all-encompassing love for her children that took her by surprise. It’s a love that reshaped her priorities, deepened her faith, and anchored her through both the highs and lows of motherhood.
Through Claris’ parenting program, Lyssa found more than just resources. She found community. In a season that can often feel isolating, she was surrounded by encouragement, practical support, and other moms who understood exactly what she was going through. Showing up consistently, bringing her children, and building relationships along the way, Lyssa became not only a recipient of that support but also a source of it for others.
Her journey has shaped the advice she now shares with fellow moms—words that are both simple and deeply meaningful:
“There’s a lot of good advice out there, but listen to your heart first and talk to God.”
In a world full of opinions and expectations, Lyssa has learned the importance of tuning into what matters most—faith, intuition, and the unique needs of her own family. She’s also quick to remind others that they don’t have to carry everything on their own.
“Being a parent is a mental roller coaster,” she says honestly. “Ask for help or get help that you need from different resources.”

“Remember, you’re doing your best and everything’s gonna be OK.”
Lyssa’s story is a powerful reminder that even in today’s fast-paced and often overwhelming world, motherhood is not meant to be done alone. With the right support, honest community, and a willingness to lean into both faith and growth, mothers can discover strength they never knew they had.
Her journey continues to inspire those around her. She is a testament to the beauty of perseverance, the power of community, and the unexplainable love that defines motherhood.
